Questions to Ask Yourself when Finding Authoritative Links

Good Afternoon Writers!

The following are a few questions to ask yourself when sorting through links. If you can answer ‘yes’ to all of the following questions, you know you have a great link on your hands. Happy hunting!

  1. Does the link end in .gov, .mil, .k12, or .edu?
(there are many more endings, but these are the most authoritative)
  2. Is the content applicable to the audience?
  3. Does the content of the link strengthen the content of the article?
  4. Is the link free of any advertising?

We’d love to hear your tips for finding authoritative links!

    Good Afternoon,
I would like to have clarification on link descriptions and how the sentences should read. I am a little unclear. I have been doing it the same way since I started writing for QG and recently told its unacceptable. Please verify how I am to write a description. Thanks so much!

Please feel free to email with specific questions. Thanks!
