How do I know an assignment has been returned to me for revisions?

I submitted my assignment but it’s back in my Writing Projects! Why?

When you see an assignment you previously submitted to an editor back in Your Writing Projects it means:

  1. The editor returned the assignment to the writer for revisions to be made.
  2. The writer needs to make all requested revisions suggested by the editor. (Editor notes are located in the Editor Area of the assignment.)
  3. The writer has 48-hours from the time it was returned by the editor to make the requested revisions and re-submit the assignment for a final review and grading.

Will my grade be affected because the article needed revisions?

  • This depends on the amount of revisions needed.
    • If extensive revisions are required, this may affect the grade.
    • If minor revisions are needed then the grade may not be affected.

What happens if I don’t make the suggested revisions?

  • It depends:
    • If your work can be used with minor edits made by one of our editors, you will receive a lower grade and most likely a lower payment.
    • If the editor decides your work requires major edits and it is better to not “fix it”, this will result in you receiving a failing grade.

What happens if I receive a failing grade?

  1. No part of the assignment is used by us.
  2. You will not be paid for the assignment.
  3. Your work is removed (erased) from the assignment.
  4. The assignment is re-added to the Claimable Writing Projects with a new due date for a new writer to claim.

What happens if I don’t re-submit the revised assignment within the 48-hour time limit?

  1. You lose the assignment.
  2. Your work is removed (erased) from the assignment.
  3. The assignment is re-added to the Claimable Writing Projects with a new due date for a new writer to claim.
  4. You will not be paid for the assignment.
